My wife is bedridden, muscles atrophied due to lengthy hospital and skilled nursing home stays. Cannot get out of bed without my help to get her on a bedside commode. Signed up for Mays Home Health Care the day she was discharged from the nursing facility, took 4 days for their nurse to come out to evaluate her. She was scheduled for a care provider to come out twice a week for a half hour to 'help' her take a shower, and a physical therapist to also come out twice a week. Due to her condition, showers were out of the question, and only a half hour therapy session twice a week would not be near enough to help her regain strength in her legs. As a result we hired a private care giver, but that failed as well as that person only helped get her on the commode a few times over the weekend, then sat and played games, texted, and slept.
